Job Title: Technical Architect

Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ

Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design: Translate complex business objectives into high-quality technical blueprints for payment, banking, and commerce products.
• Technology Leadership: Define, adopt, and enforce best practices for development, including CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and code quality.
• Technical Expertise: Utilize deep knowledge in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
• System Modernization: Modernize legacy systems and integrate, maintain, and enhance existing applications for performance and scalability.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure all solutions comply with financial industry standards, including PCI-DSS, data governance, and security protocols.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: Provide technical guidance to engineering teams, conduct code reviews, and support cross-functional teams in Scrum environments.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience: 10+ years in software development with 3+ years in a technical leadership or architecture role.
• Domain Knowledge: Strong experience in Fintech, Finance, payments, card processing, POS terminals, or banking.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot, Kafka/event-driven architecture, cloud platforms, and database design (SQL/NoSQL).
• Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science or engineering.
• Communication: Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Data Engineering: Designing ETL pipelines and data models.
• AI/Modernization: Implementing LLM-powered coding assistants and modernizing legacy infrastructures.
• API/Integration: Building secure, scalable API-based integrations for commerce platforms.
