JOB DESCRIPTION:
Basic Qualifications/Skills
- 8 - 10 years' experience building, configuring, and maintaining production environments, including standard networking preferably RHEL as OS.
- Expert knowledge of server-side networking (TCP/UDP/Multicast).
- Expert knowledge of administration of Redhat Products, especially RHEL 6 & 7 and Satellite 6
- Experience in scripting and automating complex tasks.
- RedHat and ITIL certified.
- Expert level of knowledge supporting RHEL server operating systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting and investigative skills.
- Knowledge of Chef or similar (ansible , puppet).
- Knowledge of clustering technologies - Veritas and Oracle RAC.
- Knowledge of the physical datacenter operating environment
- Knowledge of Vmware products
- Experience of Bash or Python scripting
- Experience of working with on premise and cloud (AWS) environments.
- Experience of supporting enterprise scale, complex and secure server estates.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience of working in a fast-paced global team.
- Experience of building relationships with stakeholders at various levels
- Experience of manage suppliers and vendors.
- Self-starter, works with minimal supervision and comfortable working unsociable hours
Essential Skills/Basic Qualification:
RHCE certified with a minimum of 8 years industry experience. Some financial services experience is required.
ITIL Foundation certified
Knowledge of virtualization and public cloud environments
