Role: Embedded Software Engineer – C++ (Avionics/FMS)
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Deer Valley) – Hybrid, 2-3 days/week onsite
Duration: 1 year initial engagement, strong possibility of extension

Position Overview
We''re hiring Avionics Software Engineers to support Flight Management System (FMS) development for a leading aerospace program. You''ll work on the HMI software for the Multifunction Control and Display Unit (MCDU) — enhancing, debugging, and maintaining Embedded C++ code that''s already in production.

Mandatory Skills

• 8+ years of Embedded C++ development experience
• Flight Management System (FMS) domain experience
• Hands-on experience with avionics software / cockpit display systems
• Strong software debugging, root cause analysis, and defect-fixing experience
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and SDLC

Preferred Skills

• MCDU/CDU application experience
• DO-178B/C awareness
• VectorCAST, LDRA, RTRT, Git, or ClearCase exposure
• Software integration & unit testing/verification background

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and enhance existing Embedded C++ code to implement Change Requests (CRs)
• Maintain and improve HMI functionality for MCDU applications
• Debug, root-cause, and fix defects in avionics software
• Collaborate with system engineers, architects, and verification teams
• Support integration, testing, and troubleshooting
• Participate in code reviews per aerospace software standards

Education: Bachelor''s/Master''s in CS, Electronics, Avionics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
