In the role of Senior Project Manager Engineering for the Water Business Group, we'll count on you to:
- Plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of large multidisciplinary projects or medium-sized projects with a high degree of technical complexity, typically involving a large project staff
- Produce and coordinate several projects concurrently
- Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings
- Coordinate staffing and workload of staff through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule
- Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with other Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines
- Work with the Business/Accounting Managers, Project Coordinators and Department Manager or Managing Principal for project reviews
- Implement QA/QC procedures and execute training for personnel as established
- Establish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design, and production meetings
- Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplines
- Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with the team to ensure that work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon scope, schedule, and budget
- Supervise project staff and act as a mentor for less-experienced Project Managers
- Work with internal and external resources to put together contract drawings and documents in accordance with HDR's quality standards
- Manage construction phase services such as submittal, shop drawing, and RFI review, coordination, and correspondence
- Manage technical components of pursuits and work with the marketing team to produce high-quality pursuit documents
- Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:- Strong technical writing and presentation skills
QualificationsRequired Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 10 years related experience
- A minimum 5 years project management experience
- Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
- MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)
- Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
