Principal Test Engineers

Job Description

Ensure the highest standards of product validation, measurement accuracy, and innovation in test methodologies.

Define long-term vision for test engineering practices, tools, and global alignment.

Establish and maintain enterprise-level test standards and best practices.

Oversee design and validation of automated test solutions, ensuring scalability and robustness.

Lead initiatives on measurement uncertainty analysis and statistical validation.

Drive consistency across global test labs, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.

Act as a liaison between engineering, operations, and quality teams worldwide.

Identify opportunities for disruptive testing technologies and processes.

Champion digital transformation in test engineering.

Coach test engineers and technicians on advanced methodologies and leadership skills. May manage project team members.

Develop training programs for global teams on new test systems and standards.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related engineering field, or foreign degree equivalent, and 7 years of relevant experience as a Test Engineer, or alternate related acceptable occupation; OR Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, related engineering field, or foreign degree equivalent, and 5 years of relevant experience as a Test Engineer, or alternate related acceptable occupation.

Work or academic experience must have included:

1. Test system design, statistical analysis, and uncertainty calculations.

2. Mechatronic systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components).

3. LabVIEW or similar test automation tools.

4. Finite Element Analysis (FEA), SolidWorks, and simulation software.

5. AI and Machine Learning Applications in testing and predictive analytics.

10% of domestic and international travel required.
