Summary
Our client, a mid-sized growth-oriented enterprise software company is looking to augment their team with an experienced Senior Director / VP of Marketing to assist in the implementation of cloud-based systems used by large corporations.
This would be a remote position, although Virginia area based (east coast) would be a plus.

Qualifications
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience, ideally within Marketing / CSM / Business Development environments
- 10+ years of senior marketing leadership experience preferred, ideally in SaaS and/or ERP/CRM
- Experience with Federal / Government Contracting (GovCon) a plus
- Experience within a technology company or high-growth environment is strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce)
- Proven track record of building and scaling demand generation and brand platforms that drive revenue
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills with demonstrated success partnering with Sales and Revenue Operations
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the capacity to influence senior executives, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong strategic and analytical capabilities. Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound, data-informed decisions. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with disciplined execution habits. Ability to instill those standards across teams. Adaptable and resilient, comfortable operating in dynamic environments with shifting priorities and evolving demands. Demonstrated ownership mindset, taking full accountability for both individual performance and overall team outcomes. Commitment to quality and excellence in all deliverables.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization while managing competing priorities, complex challenges.
- Hands-on leader who leads by example, not solely through delegation and is prepared to contribute at a high level personally when required. Experience leading remote teams.
- Bachelors degree required (Marketing preferred); advanced degree preferred.
Description
- As the VP of Marketing, you will join a hands-on executive leadership team responsible for driving scalable growth, operational discipline, and delivery excellence across the organization.
- This role requires a builder’s mindset, someone who approaches complex operational challenges with structured thinking, technical depth, and a bias toward execution.
- Lead the full Marketing Services with end-to-end responsibility for strategy, financial performance, operational execution.
- Acting as a true business owner of the function, you will design and implement the operational frameworks, governance Models, and financial discipline required to scale predictably.
Marketing Strategy & Architecture
- Partner with upper management to define and own the global marketing vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned to company growth objectives
- Translate business and revenue priorities into a cohesive marketing operating model that scales globally
Brand & Market Positioning
- Architect/execute a comprehensive brand strategy that sharpens positioning, differentiates Company in competitive markets.
- Elevate Company’s presence through thought leadership, flagship campaigns, content, events that reinforce credibility/trust
Demand & Pipeline Creation
- Build and scale a demand generation engine that delivers predictable, measurable pipeline and revenue impact
- Design integrated, full-funnel programs across digital, ABM, email, events, and partnerships
- Partner closely with Sales and RevOps to align ICPs, messaging, targeting, and GTM execution
Team, Operating Model & Measurement
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing marketing team with clear accountability and ownership
- Establish performance metrics, attribution models, reporting frameworks that connect marketing activity to revenue outcomes
- Drive a culture of experimentation, learning, and continuous improvement grounded in data
