responsibilities:
- Spearhead the optimization of database performance by refining indexing strategies, fine-tuning complex queries, and enhancing overall database architecture.
- Collaborate closely with application development teams to guarantee maximum software performance and reliable database integration.
- Take charge of executing and validating rigorous high availability and disaster recovery tests for enterprise-critical systems.
- Safeguard corporate data by ensuring robust backup procedures are executed, and recovery protocols are consistently tested and accurately documented.
- Maintain, patch, and upgrade robust database management systems to ensure security and efficiency across a vast infrastructure.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to support the continuous growth of a talented database administration team.
qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline. A minimum of 8 years of dedicated professional experience operating within a sprawling SQL Server ecosystem. Deep, proven expertise in at least three of the following critical domains: Advanced performance tuning and query optimization, focusing heavily on T-SQL, stored procedures, and indexing. Implementation, configuration, and continuous maintenance of SQL Server Always On Availability Groups. Execution of SQL Server Native Replication, specifically transactional replication. Executing complex SQL Server migrations, including both side-by-side and in-place upgrades. Administering and supporting massive, multi-terabyte, mission-critical SQL Server environments.
