Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer specializing in Cryptography & PKI to join a high-impact cybersecurity team within a leading global financial services environment. This role focuses on enterprise-wide cryptography solutions, PKI management, and supporting the transition toward Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC). The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in cryptographic technologies, certificate lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance.

Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Employment Type: Contract
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and support enterprise cryptography and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions
Build, integrate, and maintain a Cryptographic Asset Management Platform to support migration to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cryptography and digital certificate use cases
Integrate digital certificates with Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) platforms
Develop system architecture documentation, build procedures, and knowledge articles
Respond to inquiries from Internal Audit and Federal Regulators related to PKI and cryptographic controls
Automate certificate and cryptographic key services
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
CISSP certification required
5+ years of experience installing and supporting cryptographic solutions
Technical Expertise Required
Hands-on Experience With:
Hardware Security Modules (HSM)
Key Management Systems (KMS)
Certificate Lifecycle Management platforms
Cryptographic automation tools
Strong Knowledge Of:
Cryptographic algorithms and key management
Secure protocols and digital certificates
Quantum Computing & Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC)
Regulatory standards: GDPR, DORA, NIST, ISO 27001
Ideal Candidate Profile
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Experience working in regulated enterprise environments
Ability to support audits and compliance reviews
