Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring availability and reliability of assigned production applications within a line of business (LOBs) of compliance (Sanctions and AML)
• Perform daily tasks assigned by the production support lead
• Manage highly critical applications - support BAU and ensure no business impact
• Create support documentation and updating existing documentation
• Initiate the incident management process lead triage when BAU is impacted
• Provide regular communication generate reports to all the stakeholders
• Investigation of root cause analysis and irreversible corrective action
• Identify risk and drive remediations - ensure any day audit ready situation for the team
• Work closely with business partners and development team
• Hands on support of the applications
• Disaster recovery test coordination, preparation and execution
• Monitor of daily batch processing
• Timely adherence to all deliverables
• Mentor / guide team members on issues/queries and other deliverables
• Perform capacity management for applications in scope

Requirements:

• Experience in monitoring tools ITRS, SPLUNK, Dynatrace and App Dynamics
• Skills : Scripting
• Special consideration: PHP programming
• Proficiency in M365 Applications
• SQL scripting
• Hands on experience with Unix
• Hands on experience with Database (Oracle Teradata)
• Hands on experience in Hadoop
• Experience in Job scheduling tool - Autosys
• Knowledge on ETL tool - Informatica
• Knowledge on monitoring tools like ITRS Geneous, Splunk, Dynatrace
• Knowledge on ITIL concepts like Incident and Problem Management
• Knowledge on Incident Management (ITSM Remedy, MyITSM)
• Project Management
• Good understanding of financial/banking industry
• Creative and strong problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to operate in high-pressure situations
• Results oriented, and able to effectively interact with senior management and business partners

Pay range: $49.86 - $57.86
