Job Title: Business Analyst

Job Description:
Elicitation - Elicits requirements using joint application development (JAD), requirements workshops, interviews, document analysis, storyboards, surveys, site visits, use cases, scenarios, competitive product analysis, and task and workflow analysis.
Analysis - Uses sophisticated analysis techniques to identify user needs, business processes, pain points, and computer system capabilities to automate or improve existing systems.
Requirements Writing - Transforms information from elicitation sessions into business requirements and functional requirements, use cases, user stories, and software requirements specifications documents. Uses standard templates and simple, unambiguous, and concise natural language.
Visual Output - Visually transforms information from elicitation sessions into process flows, context diagrams, UML diagrams, wire-frames, and mockups.
Managing Work - Uses initiative and independent judgment to actively participate in the
software development lifecycle, including managing deadlines, following change control procedures, tracking requirement status, coordinating UAT, and maintaining requirement traceability.
Minimum Requirements:
8 Years of Experience eliciting requirements from interviews with customers and creating well-written system requirements
8 Years of Experience with software development life cycles (SDLCs)
8 Years of Business process re-engineering and software process flow improvement experience
8 Years of Experience developing user stories and use cases that conform to business analysis best practices
8 Years of Experience designing mock-ups and/or wireframes that conform to UX best practices
5 Years of Demonstrated strong communication and facilitation skills
5 Years of Demonstrated strong writing and organization skills
Preferred Skills :(Optional)
3 Years of Documented work experience with the issue tracking software "Atlassian Jira"
3 Years of Documented work experience with the requirements management software "Modern Requirements"
2 Years of Documented experience working for or closely with TEA or another state or local education agency
1 Years of Experience with K-12 instructional materials and/or instructional material procurement process
