What you'll do:Thematic Core Services team seeks an experienced and highly skilled mid-level Java Developer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications using Java technologies.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy robust Java-based applications and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, and QA engineers, to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, perform code reviews and share best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize code for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Stay up to date with emerging Java technologies and frameworks, recommending and implementing improvements as needed.
- Contributed to the documentation of software architecture, design decisions, and processes.
- Ensure adherence to software development standards and security best practices.
What you haveRequired Qualifications- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in Java software development.
- Strong proficiency in Java SE/EE, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and RESTful web services.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Hands-on experience designing and building APIs.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with microservices architecture is highly desirable.
- Experience with trading and/or high-volume, high-availability systems.
In addition to the base pay range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
