MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career and customer-orientedWindowsSystem Administratorto join our team in Laurel, MD.

Become an integral part of a diverse team that delivers enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce performing a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation. It is the contract vehicle for the Enterprise Infrastructure Services organization overseeing MPO?s Enterprise Information Technology (EIT). EIT is MPO?s backbone- platform for all Enterprise users. Data Center & Compute Services is the EIS enabling organization working with customers, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), and vendors to deliver select EIT.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide Tier 1(Help Desk) and Tier 2/3 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group policy, DHCP, shared storage and databases
  • Ability to install Windows software and hardware applications; upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Must be able to create accounts, reset passwords, and provide desktop support to customers via phone, tickets, or in-person
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for the Client/Server environment
  • Provide patch management and deployment support
  • Ability to support the planning and test analysis of the DoD Certification/ Accreditation process
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule between 6:00am-6:00pm and may be assigned to an evening patching schedule

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor?s degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university; an additional 5 years of relevant SA experience may be substituted for a degree
  • 15+ years? experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Must be proficient with troubleshooting in a Windows Server environment
  • IAT II certification (DOD 8140 required upon starting employment. Acceptable certifications include CCNA-Security, Security+, CASP etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Design, deploy and administer virtualized platforms working with VMWare
  • Managing Virtual Machines on VCenter servers to include adding memory, CPUs, network and disks
  • Familiarity with JIRA ticketing system

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate must be able to move, carry and deliver workstations from inside the office to customer?s desk. The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
