Our client seeks a Principal Systems Analyst to lead entitlement strategy and identity governance across enterprise platforms. The role will align access models with governance frameworks, support IAM and platform integrations, and maintain audit-ready documentation while partnering with cross-functional teams to mitigate risk and scale securely.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $55.00 to $65.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain user roles, entitlement groups, and access levels aligned to business functions and security requirements.
  • Establish clear naming conventions and taxonomy for entitlements to support scalability.
  • Document and maintain user flows for personas requiring authorization across environments.
  • Ensure entitlement structures align with security policies, regulatory requirements, and governance frameworks.
  • Identify and remediate outdated or excessive entitlements and drive cleanup of unused data and applications.
  • Document policies, standards, and approval workflows and maintain accountability with governance bodies.
  • Partner with cybersecurity and risk teams to identify, document, and remediate access risks or policy violations.
  • Validate technical artifacts for identity federation and ensure correct integration with IAM and platform systems.
  • Maintain traceability between business roles and system access while understanding authorization models.
  • Provide business and technical requirements for current and future identity and access use cases.
  • Coordinate with digital security teams for policy enforcement and technical controls.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication to align stakeholders and support product priorities.
  • Maintain accurate records of accounts, roles, and entitlements and enforce RBAC and least privilege.
  • Lead access request workflows, approvals, exceptions, and periodic access reviews.
  • Ensure identity activities are logged and auditable and prepare compliance reports.
  • Document provisioning, de-provisioning, role management policies, and support segregation of duties analysis.
  • Use IAG tools to develop dashboards and metrics and deliver training and mentorship on governance policies.
  • Perform data mapping across platforms and document end-to-end data flows for access-related integrations.
  • Write SQL queries and analyze APIs to validate data exchange, documenting results with the team.
  • Translate technical analysis and UI changes into actionable user stories.

  • Strong project management skills with ability to execute against a roadmap.
  • Proficiency in data mapping across multiple platforms.
  • Interest in developing subject-matter expertise in enterprise applications and cybersecurity, audits, and compliance.
  • Ability to write SQL queries and analyze APIs to validate data exchanges and mappings.
  • Technical analysis experience to interrogate system behavior and translate findings into user stories.
  • Background in cybersecurity and auditing (preferred).
  • Agile delivery and Jira experience (preferred).
  • 10+ years of systems analysis with 3-5 years in identity and access management or governance.
  • Experience with entitlement hierarchy, RBAC, and audit evidence creation.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and documentation with ability to maintain entitlement organization and classification.
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical audiences.
  • Experience with database structures, Salesforce, certificate management, and federation metadata.
  • Scripting or query skills in SQL for reporting.
