Pay Range: $50 - $52/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design scalable, secure, highly available Couchbase cluster architecture on-premises and in AWS.
- Administer clusters, upgrades, patching, rebalance, failover and production operations.
- Lead L3 troubleshooting, RCA, performance tuning, SQL++ query/index optimization.
- Design XDCR, backup/recovery, disaster recovery and capacity planning.
- Implement security controls, monitoring and Linux/Python/Shell automation.
- Partner with application, cloud and infrastructure teams; lead technical reviews and mentor DBAs.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key Skills; Couchbase architecture, cluster administration, upgrades and L3 production support.
- SQL++ performance tuning, indexing, XDCR, HA/DR, backup and recovery.
- AWS, Linux, Python/Shell automation and enterprise troubleshooting.
- Minimum 10+ years overall database experience; preferably 5+ years hands-on Couchbase.
- Senior hands-on architect / technical lead; production-critical environments.
- Deliverables: resilient architecture, operational stability, performance optimization, automation and incident resolution.
