Graduate Engineer Entry Level Field Role (Training Provided)

PMC is hiring a Scanning Technician based within commuting distance of Dearborn, MI.

This is an entry-level opportunity (0–2 years’ experience) with full-time travel (80%+) across the US and Canada.

Once training is complete, the role is remote when not on-site.

What you’ll do

• Train under senior field technicians on laser scanning and reality capture projects
• Operate 3D laser scanners, cameras, laptops, and measurement tools
• Perform building surveys and document existing conditions
• Work with project managers, modeling teams, and client site contacts

What you’ll learn

• Advanced reality capture and BIM workflows
• Use of fixed and mobile laser scanners
• Drone operations (including pilot licensing support)
• Basics of surveying and total station use

What we’re looking for

• 0–2 years relevant experience or engineering background
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours on-site
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
• Comfortable with MS Office, mobile devices, and technical tools
• Valid driver’s license and ability to rent a car

Nice to have (not required)

• Exposure to 3D scanning, CAD/BIM, or related software
• Prior business travel or client-facing experience
