Join Lockheed Martin's team that crafts and delivers the current and future generation of space systems that creatively combines satellite technology, sophisticated sensors, and data processing to provide crucial global infrared data 24/7. Lockheed Martin is looking for an energetic and high performing Systems Engineer to join the team in Boulder, CO. This position is in support of the Enterprise Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Solution (EOS) program.

What does this role look like?

Have general knowledge of system architecture and ongoing/future changes to system affecting system design at a high level; also understanding program processes
Prepare for and participate in program meetings, boards, and design reviews
Ensure requirements are captured and allocated to appropriate tests
Perform technical detailed test planning, system integration and testing for verification and validation
Support System Certification Activities

Basic Qualifications

Demonstrated systems engineering experience with system integration across complex environments

Experience supporting test planning, test design, and/or test execution activities

Working knowledge of requirements development, traceability, and verification processes

Familiarity with Linux-based operating systems and environments

Understanding of systems architecture concepts, design, and implementation

Active TS/SCI security clearance required

Desired skills

Experience supporting OPIR and/or SBIRS mission processing environments

Familiarity with IT and Weapon System Architecture (WAA) certification and accreditation activities

Proven ability to analyze complex technical data and develop executable solutions under tight, schedule-driven constraints, including working with incomplete or conflicting information

Experience collaborating with hardware and software development teams to ensure mission requirements are effectively implemented

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong presentation skills and the ability to brief both technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments while managing multiple roles and priorities across program operations

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build consensus and foster effective working relationships across cross-functional teams

Demonstrated systems thinking mindset, with the ability to apply structured problem-solving approaches to drive solutions and continuous improvement

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $102,800 - $178,135. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
