Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CMDB & IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst with 5-8 years of experience in ServiceNow CMDB, IT Asset Management (ITAM), and CMDB Governance to support enterprise asset management initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing Configuration Items (CIs), maintaining CMDB data integrity, supporting hardware and software asset lifecycle processes, and driving data quality improvements across the enterprise.

This role requires collaboration with Infrastructure, Service Management, Procurement, Security, and Operations teams to ensure CMDB accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective IT asset lifecycle management.

Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid)

Work Hours: Eastern Time (EST)

Experience Required

• 5-8 years of experience in IT Asset Management (ITAM) and CMDB Administration.
• Hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB and ITAM modules.
• Experience working in enterprise IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer the ServiceNow CMDB to ensure configuration data accuracy and completeness.
• Manage the lifecycle of Configuration Items (CIs) across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.
• Perform CMDB health assessments, identify data quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Support Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) processes.
• Perform asset reconciliation between discovery tools, procurement records, and CMDB.
• Monitor CMDB compliance metrics and generate governance reports.
• Define and enforce CMDB governance standards, policies, and naming conventions.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Procurement, Security, and Service Management teams to resolve CMDB and asset-related issues.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with organizational IT asset management policies.
• Create dashboards, reports, and KPIs for asset management and CMDB health.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for CMDB and ITAM processes.
• Support ServiceNow Discovery and data normalization activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience with CMDB and IT Asset Management.

• Experience with Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in ITIL-based environments.
