Argus Data Migration Consultant

PV Technical Business Analyst

Role Summary:

This position will operate in partnership with the client’s Pharmacovigilance teams to support transition of acquired company’s operations from Perceive ACE (Fujitsu) to Argus (Oracle). You will help the business implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program, and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, sponsors and partners.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements discovery through stakeholder interviews and process review workshops; translate ambiguous needs into clear, actionable requirements using structured problem decomposition.
• Document current-state (As-Is) processes and facilitate definition of future-state (To-Be) processes in partnership with business SMEs.
• Act as the primary liaison between business, IT, sponsors, and vendors—driving alignment, decisions, and delivery execution through effective influence and clear communication.
• Apply Business Analysis best practices to plan and run working sessions (e.g., workshops, stand-ups), produce fit-for-purpose documentation, and manage change control with stakeholders.
• Proactively identify, track, and escalate program risks and issues, coordinating resolution support as needed.
• Review and challenge migration queries and transformation logic for correctness and performance; ensure transformation steps are well documented and maintainable.
• Lead delivery across global, cross-cultural teams and partners, using structured communication in multi-party environments (including sessions supported by interpreters).

Delivery Responsibilities

• Own validation deliverables 
• Partner with solution vendor in technical solution design
• Identify technical system gaps
• Align stakeholders on the data migration/transformation logic
• Partner with vendor on managing technical environments (DEV, TEST, PROD) in line with other inflight changes
• Manage UAT with script reviews, execution reviews and defect management
• Maintain system performance standards
• Support defining Technical Steps during cutover planning

Required Experience:

• Pharmacovigilance domain expertise with hands-on experience in Oracle Argus and PV case/safety data concepts (e.g., case lifecycle, follow-ups, duplicates), including familiarity with Argus reporting/testing artefacts such as line listings and comparison outputs (e.g., CIOMS II source vs target line listing comparisons used in operational test steps).
• Practical experience working within IT Service Management and Computer System Validation (CSV) frameworks, including strong knowledge of data integrity principles and controlled documentation / good documentation practices.
• Experience working effectively in remote / global teams across time zones and cultures.
• Strong capability in requirements gathering, analysis, and solution design (business and technical).
• Strong data analysis skills (SQL or equivalent) to validate extracts/loads, identify anomalies, and provide oversight of migration reconciliation.
