Job Title:- : Platform Engineering Lead

Location:-  Can be remote, would need to be onsite the 1st week and possibly come to the office from time to time in Miami, FL

Duration:- 8 months contract

Platform Engineering Lead

Key Responsibilities:

1. Automation Toolchain Leadership:

·       Lead the review of the automation toolchain and assess automation needs across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement best practices.

·       Create automated deployments of configurations and applications on Linux for identified applications

2. Development of Automation and CI/CD Pipelines:

·       Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of automation frameworks and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

·       Oversee the setup and management of AWS cloud environments, specifically with Amazon EKS or Kubernetes, to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

·       Automate application deployments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor''''s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of automation tools and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with AWS cloud services, specifically Amazon EKS or Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Demonstrated experience in automating application deployments.
• Understanding of scripting languages, particularly Bash and Python.
• Understanding of Linux operating systems
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills
