We are seeking an experienced QE Architect / Lead to drive Quality Engineering strategy, architecture, and automation transformation initiatives across enterprise applications. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for defining and implementing modern test automation frameworks, establishing engineering standards, and driving automation maturity across multiple teams.
The ideal candidate will have experience building automation frameworks from the ground up, leading large-scale quality transformation initiatives, and partnering closely with development teams to implement shift-left testing practices.
<>Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and own enterprise Quality Engineering frameworks across UI, API, service, and data layers.
- Define automation strategies, test coverage models, quality metrics, and testing standards.
- Establish automation baselines and continuously improve coverage, execution speed, stability, and reliability.
- Architect scalable automation solutions integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive automation maturity and quality transformation initiatives across multiple teams.
- Define and enforce best practices for test automation, code reviews, framework ownership, and reusability.
- Serve as the technical authority and escalation point for automation architecture decisions.
- Partner with development leaders to increase shift-left testing and developer-owned quality.
- Evaluate tools, processes, and frameworks using measurable outcomes and business value.
- Mentor engineers and influence enterprise-wide quality engineering practices.
<>Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in IT, QA, Quality Engineering, or Test Automation.
- 3+ years of experience designing and owning automation frameworks from scratch.
- Experience serving as a QE Architect, Automation Architect, Test Architect, or similar leadership role.
- Hands-on expertise with Playwright, Selenium, MABL, Java, Python, or similar automation technologies.
- Strong API, integration, and service-layer test automation experience.
- Experience implementing automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven success reducing automation flakiness and improving automation reliability at scale.
- Experience with enterprise test data management strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead automation initiatives across multiple teams and organizations.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
<>Preferred Qualifications
- Financial Services, Insurance, Banking, or other highly regulated industry experience.
- Experience with service virtualization and dependency mocking.
- Cloud-native testing environments and modern test infrastructure.
- Accessibility testing experience.
- Quality maturity assessments and transformation initiatives.
