Summary

We are seeking a Mid-level User Research & Data Analyst to support a high-impact enterprise application initiative. This contractor will lead hands-on research efforts on an existing internal tool, working closely with business stakeholders, UX designers, and software development teams to drive meaningful UI and workflow improvements.

This role requires a proactive, self-directed professional who can independently plan and execute research, navigate ambiguity, select appropriate research methods, and generate actionable insights. The ideal candidate is curious, adaptive, and open to leveraging AI tools and emerging techniques to enhance research efficiency and insight generation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Data Science, Human Factors, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in user research and/or data analysis, preferably within enterprise or internal tool environments.
  • Strong foundation in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Experience producing research artifacts such as personas, journey maps, workflow maps, and usability reports.
  • Proficiency in Figma for research collaboration and design handoff.
  • Experience using Jira (or similar tools) for requirements tracking and cross-team collaboration.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and openness to experimenting with new research-enhancing technologies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable operating independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
