JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Transformation Project Manager to lead high-impact IT initiatives following a recent business acquisition. This role will immediately assume ownership of active projects transitioning from an external consulting partner, beginning with the coordination of multi-site assessments and continuing through execution, optimization, and stabilization.
This is a delivery-focused, business-facing role for a strong project leader who can operate in ambiguity, drive alignment across teams, and keep complex initiatives moving forward. While the role spans both IT infrastructure (approximately 60–70%) and business applications oversight (approximately 30–40%), deep technical expertise is not required — success is driven by leadership, structure, and execution.
This position offers long-term project visibility (multi-year) and plays a critical role in shaping how IT supports the business post-integration.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transformation & Integration Leadership
- Lead IT workstreams supporting post-acquisition integration activities, including site readiness, infrastructure alignment, and application assessments
- Take ownership of projects transitioning from external partners, ensuring continuity and momentum
- Coordinate and manage large-scale site assessment efforts, translating findings into actionable project plans
Infrastructure & Applications Oversight
- Manage a portfolio of infrastructure and security-adjacent initiatives (networks, cloud, systems, operational readiness)
- Provide oversight and coordination for business applications initiatives, including application rationalization, optimization, and integration
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and ensure IT solutions align with business priorities
Project Execution & Governance
- Own end-to-end project delivery: scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, communication, and outcomes
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across IT teams, business units, and external vendors
- Identify risks early, escalate appropriately, and implement mitigation strategies
- Maintain clear project documentation, reporting, and executive-level communication
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate work across internal IT teams and outsourced delivery partners
- Act as a trusted liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders
- Support decision-making by presenting clear options, tradeoffs, and recommendations
What Success Looks Like
- Projects stay moving — even when information is incomplete
- Stakeholders are aligned on priorities, ownership, and next steps
- Infrastructure and application decisions are made with business context in mind
- External partners are effectively coordinated and held accountable
- Milestones are met without unnecessary delays or rework
REQUIREMENTS:
· 5+ years of experience leading IT projects in complex, fast-moving environments
· Demonstrated success managing infrastructure-focused initiatives with exposure to applications or enterprise systems
· Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, or large-scale integrations
· Strong working knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts (networking, cloud, security) without needing to be hands-on technical
· Proven ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, and cross-team dependencies
· Experience working with third-party vendors and outsourced delivery models
· Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred (Not Required)
· Experience coordinating cybersecurity-related initiatives or working closely with security teams
· Familiarity with hybrid project delivery methodologies (Agile / Waterfall)
· Project management certification (PMP, Agile, or similar)
· Exposure to ERP, CRM, or other enterprise application environments
