OSP EstimatorPosition OverviewThe OSP Estimator is responsible for identifying bid opportunities, developing accurate cost estimates, and supporting the successful execution of outside plant (OSP) fiber construction projects. This role partners closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Identify bid opportunities and prepare detailed cost estimates for OSP construction projects.
- Review project requirements through job walks, construction drawings, and specifications to develop accurate estimates.
- Analyze subcontractor bids and select the most cost-effective and qualified options.
- Develop and execute work plans, adjusting as project requirements or conditions change.
- Identify required labor, materials, and equipment, and communicate resource needs to management and field personnel.
- Track project schedules, monitor productivity, and organize work to meet timelines.
- Maintain ongoing communication with customers to support strong working relationships and high customer satisfaction.
- Monitor work in progress to ensure alignment with original estimates, budgets, and project scope.
- Review completed work to ensure compliance with internal quality assurance and company standards.
- Ensure all job documentation is complete, accurate, current, and properly stored.
- Minimize company risk and exposure by identifying potential issues and proactively addressing them.
- Coordinate with internal managers and cross-functional teams to ensure smooth handoff of information and documentation between departments.
- Support business development efforts when applicable, including:
- Driving new business opportunities outside the company's existing geographic footprint (e.g., Northern California, Arizona).
- Supporting growth within existing customer relationships by identifying follow-on OSP opportunities and providing early-stage estimating support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience- Strong experience with OSP estimating and bidding
- In-depth knowledge of fiber construction and OSP infrastructure
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and cost controls
- Proven ability to analyze plans, specifications, and subcontractor proposals
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Salaried role (Range is $120K to $150K) SECC covers 100% health/dental/vision for both EE & dependents. They would also get vacation
