Presales Consultant - Data Analytics Modernization
Job Summary
As a Principal Presales Consultant focused on AI-Aware Data Analytics Modernization, you will serve as a senior technical leader and trusted advisor in the sales cycle. You will provide strategic expertise, solution architecture, and executive-level guidance for complex data platform transformations, helping clients modernize legacy data environments with AI-driven analytics—particularly leveraging agentic AI patterns—to deliver transformative business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as a strategic partner to Account Executives and Clients, leading executive-level discovery workshops, C-suite presentations, and business value discussions
• Architect enterprise-scale solutions for data modernization, including cloud-native data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric), data lakes/lakehouses, advanced analytics, governance, and deep AI/ML integration with emphasis on agentic AI workflows
• Design and oversee proofs of concept (POCs), executive demos, and thought leadership presentations showcasing AI-aware analytics capabilities (e.g., generative AI for insights, predictive/prescriptive analytics, real-time decisioning, and agentic AI for autonomous data pipelines and insight generation)
• Develop compelling business cases, ROI models, multi-year modernization roadmaps, and total cost of ownership analyses
• Lead responses to complex RFIs/RFPs, shape proposal strategy, and ensure solutions address technical, business, and compliance imperatives.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging trends in data analytics, AI/ML (including agentic AI systems), and cloud ecosystems
• Collaborate with delivery leadership for seamless handover, and contribute to reusable assets (e.g., accelerators, reference architectures)
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field
• 10-15 years of progressive experience in presales, solution architecture, technical consulting, or data engineering leadership roles within a systems integrator, consulting firm, or technology vendor.
• Demonstrated experience working with enterprise clients in at least one of the following industries: payment processing, retail, or property & casualty (P&C) insurance.
• Demonstrated expertise in large-scale data modernization programs, including cloud migrations, data mesh/governance, and enterprise AI adoption.
• Deeper understanding of AI technologies, including generative AI, large language models, and agentic AI (e.g., autonomous agents, multi-agent systems, reasoning engines, tool-calling frameworks, and their application in data analytics workflows).
• Deep technical knowledge of modern data platforms, analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot), and AI/ML ecosystems (e.g., Azure ML, SageMaker, Vertex AI, LangChain/LlamaIndex for agentic patterns, open-source frameworks).
• Proven executive presence with extensive experience influencing C-level stakeholders, leading client-facing workshops, and closing multi-million-dollar deals.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and storytelling skills tailored to both technical and business audiences.
• Ability to travel as needed for strategic client engagements.
• Preferred: Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform Data/AI Architect), publications, or speaking experience.
