We have a contract opportunity for a: Mainframe MMIS (Medicaid Management Info Sys) QA/Tester:

The project is in Columbia, SC for a long term. 100% REMOTE

GOVERNMENT EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Must be MMIS highly experienced.

Duration: long term

Interview: MS Teams, 1 round

Location: 100% remote

This position will provide Quality Assurance duties for MEDS, MMIS, MMRS, and RMMIS

systems projects. The Mainframe Quality Assurance team is a combination of Clemson

information technology professionals and experienced consultants, and we are seeking

individuals who are highly productive, very flexible, and can work effectively in an environment

where ambiguity is common. Team members are expected to contribute with minimal supervision

and be self-motivated. The project demands individuals who are strong collaborators, who want

to make a positive contribution to the State of South Carolina and can understand top-level goals

and objectives and drive toward them.

Candidates who enjoy working on complex, change-oriented projects with motivated team

members will find this position attractive.

This position is open due to ongoing projects/tickets in progress by MITS/DHHS as well as

upcoming projects next year e.g. DASH, translator upgrade, UC4 etc.

Especially, with candidates who may have participated on many projects but were not

required to implement a project from start to finish or provide significant contribution to

the project.

Candidates who have very little QA/Testing Experience, a lot of development experience.

Candidates unable to prepare and deliver a coherent presentation as part of the interview process.

Previous experience in health care related information technology, insurance information

technology, Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS), Medicaid eligibility,

or social services eligibilityis absolutely required.

This position requires excellent communications skills including effective oral and

resume or add additional or clarifying information at the top of the candidate s resume,

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:

THIS PROJECT INCLUDES MAKING FEDERALLY AND STATE MANDATED CHANGES FOR THE

MEDICAID SYSTEM OF SC. THIS POSITION WILL PERFORM QUALITY ASSURANCE(QA) AND

BUSINESS INTERFACE TESTING(UA) REQUIREMENTS AS WELL AS SUPPORT USER ACCEPTANCE

(UA) TESTING OF SOFTWARE CODING CHANGES TO MEDICAID SYSTEMS RELATED DATA. TESTING

OF CHANGES WILL INCLUDE TESTING WITH THE USERS AND EXTERNAL HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS

AND TRADING PARTNERS AS NEEDED. THIS PROJECT REQUIRES INTERFACING WITH OTHER

AGENCIES AND OTHER INTERNAL SUB-SYSTEMS.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

** THIS IS A QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTER POSITION, NOT A PROGRAMMER, BA, OR PROJECT

MANAGER POSITION.** WORK COLLABORATIVELY WITH PROJECT TEAM TO TEST CODING

CHANGES. DUTIES INCLUDE CREATION OF TEST SCENARIOS, RUNNING OF TESTS, ANALYSIS OF

TEST RESULTS, RESOLUTION OF DIFFERENCES IN ACTUAL AND EXPECTED TEST RESULTS AND

WORKING WITH SCDHHS TO SUPPORT USER ACCEPTANCE TESTING. COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY

IN BOTH WRITTEN AND SPOKEN COMMUNICATION. HELP WITH BUSINESS, PROCESS AND

TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION AND PROVIDE SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTISE AS NEEDED. WORK

COLLABORATIVELY WITH CLEMSON STAFF AND OTHER CONTRACTED STAFF.

13+ years of experience creating and executing test scenarios
