This customer's capability supports the Army's Data Analytics by enabling the digitization, ingestion, integration, and analysis of mission, program, and strategy data. The effort includes the integration of existing tools and platforms, while leveraging multimodal data and AI/ML capabilities to support trend detection, pattern identification, transcription, and decision-support analysis.

Data Architect Position

OMNI is looking for a Data Architect to own the end-to-end data architecture strategy for the ACPE GROUND capability. The Data Architect will define data models, integration patterns, metadata management frameworks, governance standards, and data quality practices across heterogeneous data sources.

What You'll Do:

  • Define and maintain the end-to-end data architecture strategy for the ACPE GROUND capability.
  • Design scalable data architectures, data models, and integration patterns across heterogeneous and multimodal data sources.
  • Define how mission, program, and strategy data is ingested, structured, integrated, secured, and made available for AI-enabled search, analysis, and decision support.
  • Establish metadata management and data analysis frameworks that support downstream ingestion, tagging, retrieval, and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain data governance, quality, security, and architecture standards.
  • Define integration and interoperability approaches across authoritative enterprise systems and APIs.
  • Evaluate integration pathways and architectural approaches in support of evolving mission requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Solutions/Systems Architect, Cybersecurity/RMF Specialist, and Government stakeholders to ensure data architecture aligns with overall technical and mission objectives.
  • Develop architecture artifacts and technical documentation supporting Software Design Documentation (CDRL A005) and accreditation packages.
  • Communicate architecture decisions, recommendations, and technical approaches to Government stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field plus 8-10+ years of data architecture / enterprise data engineering experience
  • Proven experience designing scalable data architectures, data models, and integration patterns across heterogeneous, multimodal data sources
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and master data management principles
  • Experience with data integration and interoperability across enterprise systems and APIs
  • Experience defining architecture standards, data quality controls, and technical/design documentation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
  • Strong communication skills to present architecture decisions to Government stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Nice to Have:

  • Experience architecting solutions for DoD/Army acquisition, Science & Technology, or program management data environments.
  • Familiarity with Vantage, Digital Roadmap Tool, Teamwork Cloud / Cameo MagicDraw, or similar Army enterprise systems.
  • Experience supporting RMF/ATO accreditation from an architecture or data security perspective.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML-enabled data architecture patterns, including feature stores, vector databases, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
  • Experience with cloud-native Government data platforms such as AWS GovCloud or Azure Government.
  • Prior experience supporting SBIR-derived or rapid-prototyping contract vehicles, including BOA-based task orders.
  • Relevant architecture certification such as TOGAF or AWS/Azure architecture certifications.
  • DoD Enterprise Architecture experience.
