Job Description
We are seeking a Construction - Partnership and Contracts Manager V to join our team supporting a global data center portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in large-scale commercial or industrial construction contract management, deal-to-contract processes, and cross-functional risk and cost containment and a proven ability to draft, negotiate, and administer complex contracts while improving policies, playbooks, and systems.
Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end contract management including intake, drafting, negotiation, and administration.
- Maintain and improve contracts playbooks, procedures, and supporting systems.
- Ensure executed agreements are complete, accurate, and communicated to relevant stakeholders to support implementation.
- Review and optimize policies and procedures from quote creation through final signature.
- Verify documentation, approvals, and escalations meet Service Level Agreements and governance requirements.
- Partner with business leads on complex operations and capital improvement initiatives with significant spend and risk.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to manage contractual risk and drive cost containment.
- Develop and continuously refine deal-to-contract strategies that comply with internal controls and policies.
- Serve as liaison between the business and Legal to resolve business and legal risk issues during formation, negotiation, and post-execution administration.
- Coordinate resolutions with Legal, Risk Management, Corporate Contracts Governance, and Compliance teams.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in large-scale commercial or industrial construction contract management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Legal Studies, Business Administration, English, Engineering, Construction Administration, or similar.
- Proficiency with contract management software or systems for drafting, processing, and recording contracts and purchase transactions.
- Experience with Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) delivery methods.
Preferred Skills:
- Graduate degree in Law (J.D. or LL.M.), Contract Management, Legal Studies, or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with data center project and program service categories, including consulting, engineering, R&D, quality, testing, inspection, building management systems, furniture, artwork, and facilities O&M.
- Experience operating in cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience leveraging AI for efficiency in redlining, comparisons, and contract abstracts.
- Experience developing processes and continuous improvements in contracts playbooks and deal-to-contract intake and pipelines.
