Role/Title: AI Engineer Location: Washington, DC - Remote
Task Overview:
Demonstrated expertise in developing solutions using Visual Studio Code, Python, and other programming languages to harness generative AI and large language models (LLMs).
Collaborate with Requirements and Test Automation teams to identify high-impact use cases for generative AI, machine learning, and automation.
Propose AI-driven solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and providing actionable recommendations.
Design and implement prototypes and pilot AI-enabled solutions for Requirements and Test Automation.
Develop AI tool/program to create technical requirements by leveraging current and past business user stories.
Develop guidance, best practices, and toolkits to support teams in integrating AI into daily workflows.
Integrate automation solutions with existing software systems and databases.
Ensure all AI scripts and programs are fully executable on postal laptops.
Integrate the existing test automation framework with AI solutions.
Train designated team members to execute and maintain AI scripts and programs.
Document process changes using agreed standards, methods, and tools to maintain consistent, high-quality outputs.
Provide technical oversight and review work completed by other team members.
Develop comprehensive training materials and documentation.
Demonstrate professionalism, deliver quality service, and maintain a positive, collaborative attitude.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned Candidates invited for interviews will be required to present working samples.
In-person interviews are preferred.
Primary work location: Headquarters in Washington, D.C., with telework options available.
Minimum 2 3 years of specialized AI development experience in technology or software development using Visual Studio, Crew AI, Co-pilot etc.
Required Experience Level:
- Minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years overall relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in software development leveraging AI , Analytics Support and Leadership role
Additional Required Skills/Experience:
o A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field then four additional years of related experience is required.
o Typically performs all functional duties independently.
o Note: Special credentials (licenses and/or certifications) may be required at the Task Order level on a case-specific basis.
