Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join the Salesforce team supporting clinical and frontline staff in delivering care to members affected by multiple chronic conditions.

The Senior Salesforce Developer will play a central role in the continuous improvement, development, integration, and enhancement of the Salesforce platform, with a primary focus on Salesforce Health Cloud, Service Cloud, Field Service Lightning, and Marketing Cloud.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on Salesforce development experience, excellent understanding of Salesforce architecture and security, and experience working in healthcare environments.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Development

• Collaborate with Salesforce Administrators, Developers, and business stakeholders to validate requirements and review technical designs.
• Evaluate technical considerations including security, scalability, performance, and Salesforce governor limits.
• Develop and review Apex classes, triggers, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, and Lightning pages.
• Develop custom Salesforce user interfaces based on business and technical requirements.
• Build integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise applications using Salesforce APIs.
• Implement Salesforce development best practices, coding standards, documentation, and comprehensive test classes.
• Conduct peer reviews of Salesforce development and ensure code quality.
• Take ownership of development, release, deployment, and enhancement cycles.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate Salesforce with other business systems.
• Implement data validation, deduplication, and cleansing strategies to maintain high-quality data within Health Cloud.
• Troubleshoot governor-limit issues and optimize SOQL queries.
• Design scalable batch and asynchronous processing solutions.
• Review and modernize existing Salesforce code to align with current best practices.
• Write, interpret, and audit technical specifications.

Security & Healthcare

• Apply Salesforce security best practices, including:
  • Field-Level Security
  • Encryption
  • Audit Logging
  • Access Controls
• Ensure Salesforce solutions align with HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements.
• Support secure handling of sensitive healthcare and member information.
• Experience with healthcare integrations and regulatory requirements is highly preferred.

Deployment & Release Management

• Assist with planning and coordinating Salesforce releases and feature deployments.
• Manage Salesforce environments including development, testing, staging, and production.
• Coordinate deployments throughout the Salesforce release pipeline.
• Implement and maintain version control using Git or similar tools.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as:
  • Jenkins
  • GitLab CI
  • AutoRABIT
• Identify and mitigate release risks to ensure platform stability.
• Develop and maintain release and deployment documentation.
• Establish and enforce change-control processes, quality gates, peer reviews, and rollback procedures.
• Implement automated regression testing using Provar, Selenium, or custom Apex test frameworks.
• Work with Salesforce DevOps tools such as Copado and Gearset.
• Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) for Agile collaboration and project tracking.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Health Cloud, Service Cloud, and/or Marketing Cloud.
• Strong experience with:
  • Apex
  • Apex Classes & Triggers
  • Lightning Web Components (LWC)
  • Visualforce
  • Aura Components
  • SOQL
  • Salesforce APIs
• Experience working with large data volumes and bulkification.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce development lifecycle and deployment processes.
• General web development experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proficiency with Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS).
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce security and data architecture.
• Ability to gather requirements and present technical solutions to stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Salesforce Certifications

The following certifications are preferred:

• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I
• Salesforce Certified DevOps Center Specialist
• Salesforce Certified Administrator
• Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
• Salesforce Platform Developer II
• Salesforce JavaScript Developer I

Preferred Healthcare Experience

• Direct experience with HL7/FHIR integrations.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with EHR/EMR systems.
• Knowledge of healthcare data standards and workflows.
• Understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with Salesforce Health Cloud in a healthcare environment.

Education

• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
