Job DetailsPosition Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Audit to oversee and manage audit engagements, mentor staff, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. This individual will lead engagement teams, ensure compliance with professional standards, and contribute to firm growth through exceptional client service and business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff through training, coaching, and performance feedback
- Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and technical guidance clearly to clients
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service excellence
- Collaborate with firm leadership on risk management, accounting matters, and industry developments
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, GAAS, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards
- Support business development initiatives through networking, client expansion opportunities, and market engagement
- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and audit best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- CPA license or active CPA candidate required
- 5+ years of public accounting experience within a CPA firm
- Minimum 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and audit methodology
- Nonprofit audit experience required
- Experience with Uniform Guidance strongly preferred
- Construction industry experience is a plus
- Experience with CCH Engagement, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intuit products preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
