Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Google Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer to join our team and collaborate with clients in implementing Google Cloud Platform solutions by providing architecture guidance, best practices, and technical expertise across a range of cloud services and technologies. This role requires expertise in infrastructure automation, cloud security, networking, and CI/CD pipeline development. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive cloud optimization and automation efforts in a high-security government environment.
Responsibilities:
Clarify and analyze customer requirements Communicate effectively with clients to ensure successful collaboration Support the adaptation of applications to a Cloud-Native architecture.
Implement DevOps principles, including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code Document technical decisions and designs for future reference
Share knowledge and expertise in team-wide sessions.
Design, implement, and manage secure and scalable cloud infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform.
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar tools.
Support CI/CD pipeline automation, integration, and management.
Requirements
7+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles Practical experience with 2+ in Google Cloud Platform products like Google Kubernetes Engine, CloudBuild, and Google Secret Management.
Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, VPC, IAM, GKE, and BigQuery.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Cloud Build.
Solid understanding of Linux systems, networking, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Expertise in achieving high availability, scalability, and security for Kubernetes clusters and applications.
Proficiency with version control systems such as GitHub Competency in using CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins Skills in writing Dockerfiles and Kubernetes YAML files Background in infrastructure configuration with Terraform or Ansible.
Capability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Kubernetes clusters and network connectivity.
Familiarity with troubleshooting Python applications.
