Position: Soldering Technician

location: San Jose, California (Onsite)

Contract: 12+ months

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Soldering / Electronics Assembly Technician with strong PCB soldering expertise to support hardware development, prototyping, and production efforts. This role involves precision assembly, rework, and testing of electronic components in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform PCB soldering and rework (SMT & through-hole components)
Assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic hardware systems
Support prototype builds, engineering validation, and production activities
Conduct failure analysis and repair of electronic assemblies
Interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and work instructions
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams

Required Qualifications (Strict Must-Haves)

Hands-on PCB soldering experience (MANDATORY – screen-out criteria)
IPC Certification (e.g., IPC-A-610, J-STD-001)
Experience in electronics assembly, rework, and hardware builds
Ability to work with microscopes and precision tools
Strong attention to detail and quality standards
