About ONEflight International

ONEflight International is a market leader in private air travel technology, delivering innovative solutions through our proprietary Book-a-Jet platform. With a network of over 7,000 aircraft worldwide, we are continuing to scale rapidly and invest heavily in technology to support long-term growth.

We operate in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment where clarity, ownership, and accountability are critical to success.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly driven and execution-focused Product Lead to serve as the primary Product authority across our platform.

This role is responsible for owning product backlog prioritization, delivery sequencing, sprint readiness, and cross-functional alignment between Business, Product, Engineering, QA, and IT Support.

The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, operates with a high degree of accountability, and is highly effective at translating loosely defined business needs into clear, actionable, and implementation-ready deliverables.

This individual will work closely with executive leadership, including direct collaboration with the CEO, while serving as a central point of coordination for product-related operational support and business critical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Execution

  • Own the product backlog, prioritization, and sequencing of all development work across the platform
  • Maintain clear ownership and strategic consistency across platform priorities, product initiatives, and backlog direction
  • Ensure all work entering a sprint meets defined “Ready for Development” standards, eliminating ambiguity and reducing rework
  • Proactively clarify ambiguous or incomplete business requirements by asking targeted questions, defining scope boundaries, and aligning stakeholders before work enters the backlog
  • Translate business needs and complex features into clear, incremental, implementation-ready user stories with precise acceptance criteria and minimal ambiguity

  • Establish and maintain consistent standards for backlog quality, requirement clarity, and product delivery alignment across the platform

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with the CEO and department heads to interpret and refine business requirements
  • Partner closely with Engineering leadership, QA, IT Support, and Business stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, sequencing, delivery objectives, and successful release outcomes
  • Provide product leadership and decision-making guidance throughout sprint ceremonies to ensure clarity, alignment, and forward progress
  • Identify risks, gaps, and inefficiencies across Product, Engineering, and QA, and proactively address them
  • Serve as a primary Product point of contact for the CEO regarding business-critical product questions, operational support needs, and high-priority initiatives during and after business hours when applicable

  • Confidently challenge unclear, conflicting, or low-value requests and drive alignment toward the highest-impact outcomes

Delivery Quality & Alignment

  • Validate that delivered features meet defined business intent and acceptance criteria
  • Maintain consistency in product decisions, avoiding fragmentation across the platform
  • Ensure alignment across product areas to support a cohesive user experience and system behavior
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery processes, operational efficiency, and cross-functional alignment

Technical & Operational Support

  • Act as the Product escalation authority for business-critical product issues requiring cross-functional coordination and resolution
  • Serve as the primary Product point of contact for the IT Support team when product-related questions, workflow clarification, or business inquiries are escalated from end users
  • Partner closely with IT Support to help triage, clarify, and prioritize product-related issues impacting business operations
  • Maintain and manage backlog and sprint activity in Azure DevOps
  • Support mobile application release processes (Apple App Store & Google Play Store)
  • Leverage technical understanding to bridge communication between business and engineering

First 90 Days Expectations

  • Develop a strong understanding of the platform, business workflows, and existing product structure
  • Establish strong working relationships across Product, Engineering, QA, IT Support, and Business stakeholders
  • Assume primary ownership of backlog structure, prioritization, product readiness standards, and delivery alignment within the first 30–45 days while continuing to deepen platform and business knowledge
  • Establish clear backlog prioritization, delivery expectations, and product alignment standards across teams
  • Build strong relationships across Product, Engineering, QA, and Business

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience owning and delivering end-to-end product solutions
  • Proven ability to serve as the central Product authority responsible for prioritization, product direction, and delivery alignment
  • Strong ability to translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical deliverables
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to take loosely defined business problems and independently drive them to clear, actionable product requirements

  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, adapting messaging for business and technical audiences

Technical Expectations

  • Strong understanding of system workflows, APIs, and data flow across applications
  • Ability to interpret technical constraints and translate them into product decisions
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams in a hands-on, delivery-focused capacity

Nice to Have

  • Experience in travel or private air travel industry
  • Experience with Azure DevOps (backlog management, sprint planning, tracking)
  • Product Owner / Product Manager certification
