Position Overview

A large global enterprise is seeking an experienced Senior IT Program Manager to lead a large-scale M&A integration within the IT organization. This individual will take ownership of a significant integration program and coordinate activities across multiple technology workstreams.

The ideal candidate is a highly experienced, self-directed program leader who has successfully managed complex M&A integrations within large enterprise environments. This role requires someone who can quickly establish structure, drive accountability, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with both technical teams and senior leadership.

This is a program management role rather than a hands-on technical position. The individual must, however, be comfortable working across multiple technology domains and translating technical workstreams into integrated plans, roadmaps, financial estimates, milestones, risks, and executive-level updates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a large-scale IT M&A integration program from planning through execution.
  • Coordinate multiple IT and technology workstreams involved in the integration.
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Partner with technology leaders to ensure individual workstreams develop appropriate plans, timelines, resource requirements, and financial estimates.
  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, financial tracking, and other financial components associated with M&A integration activities.
  • Drive accountability across cross-functional teams and ensure commitments and milestones remain on track.
  • Identify program risks, issues, dependencies, and competing priorities and drive them toward resolution.
  • Provide clear program reporting and executive-level communication regarding progress, risks, financials, and key decisions.
  • Facilitate alignment across stakeholders with different priorities and areas of responsibility.
  • Influence and drive results across teams without direct authority.
  • Manage multiple priorities and workstreams in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Support both execution-oriented initiatives and strategic activities, including technology roadmaps and integration planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading large, complex IT programs beyond individual project management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading M&A integrations for large organizations or enterprise environments.
  • Strong background in both project and program management.
  • Experience managing the financial components of major programs, including budgets, forecasts, estimates, and financial tracking.
  • Experience coordinating multiple technology workstreams within a broader enterprise program.
  • Proven ability to independently take ownership of a program and quickly establish momentum with limited direction.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive accountability without direct reporting authority.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to operate effectively across numerous simultaneous priorities.
  • Ability to understand technology concepts sufficiently to coordinate technical teams, plans, dependencies, risks, and roadmaps.

Preferred Background

  • Previous experience managing IT integrations associated with acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, or other major corporate transactions.
  • Experience within a large, highly matrixed global enterprise.
  • Experience developing or managing strategic technology roadmaps in addition to traditional program delivery.
  • Experience operating across multiple IT disciplines such as applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, enterprise systems, and other technology functions.
