Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong Life Insurance domain experience and hands-on background in Business Objects and Power BI reporting.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Business Objects Developer/Consultant or Power BI Developer who transitioned into a Business Analyst role. This position requires strong reporting expertise, data analysis skills, and the ability to translate business needs into detailed functional and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and reporting requirements from Life Insurance stakeholders
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and report requirements
• Work closely with technical teams to design, enhance, and validate Business Objects and Power BI reports
• Perform data analysis, data validation, and support report testing
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirement review sessions
• Support SDLC activities including documentation, traceability, UAT coordination, and solution validation
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams to deliver reporting and system enhancements

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8+ years of Business Analysis experience
• Strong Life Insurance domain expertise (Policy Administration, Claims, Billing, Underwriting preferred)
• Prior hands-on experience in:
• Business Objects (BO)
• Power BI (report/dashboard development)
• Previous experience as a Business Objects Consultant or Power BI Developer before transitioning into a Business Analyst role is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of data mapping and reporting logic
• Expertise in requirements gathering and documentation (BRD/FRD)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodology
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Life Insurance & Annuities systems
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation
• Experience supporting enterprise reporting initiatives
• Ability to bridge business and technical teams effectively
