Description Robert Half Technology is looking for a Help Desk Technician to support a client based in Lynnwood, Washington. This is a 100% onsite position, Monday to Friday (8AM-5PM).
Duration: Contract; with potential to extend
Location: Onsite in Lynnwood, Washington
Pay rate: $33/hourly
Key Responsibilities- Provide first-level technical support to end users via phone, email, in person, or a ticketing system
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Assist with user account creation, access permissions, and system onboarding/offboarding
- Perform routine system checks, updates, and preventative maintenance
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IT staff when appropriate
- Document issues, solutions, and procedures in ticketing systems and knowledge bases
- Support basic network troubleshooting and device setup
- Follow company IT policies, security standards, and best practices
Requirements - Basic knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, and/or Linux), and common business software
- Understanding of basic networking concepts (Wi-Fi, IP addressing, LAN/WAN)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Customer-service mindset with a proactive and reliable approach
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Experience with help desk or ticketing systems
- Exposure to Active Directory, Microsoft 365, or similar environments
Nice to Have:- Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices
- Experience supporting remote or hybrid users
- Entry-level IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar)
