Electrical R&D Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Electrical R&D Technician in support of our enterprise storage and computer customer in Roseville, CA. As an Electrical R&D Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting new product development within the Company Aruba Networking lab.

Duties Include:
* Primarily responsible for designing, constructing, reworking, and testing prototype equipment for electrical systems and components, consistent with engineering and other applicable specifications
* Participate in engineering and other applicable specifications
* Rework and repair SMT PCA's using Metcal and Air pencil tools
* Setup, run and monitor environment and regulatory system tests
* Help write basic test plans
* Develop and improve technician processes and techniques
* Work with both co-located and remote teams

REQUIREMENTS:
* At least four years of relevant technician experience

Skills Desired:
* Able to read and interpret schematics, printouts and specifications for hardware and systems
* Strong electrical and mechanical reworking skills
* Working knowledge of hardware test equipment, including voltmeter, oscilloscope, pattern generator, logic analyzer
* Setup test equipment and measure electrical signals
* Strong sense of self-initiative and ability to work independently with minimal guidance from supervisors
* Solve technical problems with high degree of independent judgment and technical knowledge
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Working knowledge of MS Windows based PCs
* Ability to set up network equipment highly desirable
* Knowledge of environmental and regulatory testing is highly desirable

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
