Summary

This position will be fully remote and can be worked from anywhere within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain middleware technologies (e.g., , WebSphere, JBoss, Control-M, Infosphere, GlobalScape).
  • Manage application deployments and troubleshoot middleware-related issues.
  • Monitor, optimize, and tune middleware environments to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Perform proactive system monitoring and log analysis to identify and address potential issues.
  • Collaborate with development, database, network, and DevOps teams to support system integration and troubleshooting.
  • Deploy, configure, and manage middleware instances following organizational policies and standards.
  • Collaborate on configuration changes to ensure alignment with security, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Respond to incidents related to middleware and application performance, including root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Create reports on middleware performance, uptime and operational activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s Degree and 5 years of related experience field, additional experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 5 years of experience in middleware administration or related IT infrastructure roles.
  • 5 years direct experience supporting Infosphere.
  • Familiarity with middleware platforms such as WebSphere, JBoss, Control-M, Infosphere, GlobalScape.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (e.g., firewalls, load balancing, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Nagios, or similar).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in middleware technologies is a plus.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related middleware services.
  • Proficiency in SAS Administration:
    • Experience installing, configuring, and managing SAS environments, including SAS Grid Manager and SAS Viya.
    • Understanding of SAS components, architecture, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
    • Expertise in implementing and maintaining secure SAS environments, ensuring compliance with security policies and data governance.
  • Experience with DQMAN Administration:
    • Experience with DQMAN for managing and optimizing data quality processes and workflows.
    • Experience in using DQMAN for data cleansing, transformation, and analysis to support accurate and robust data management strategies.
    • Understanding of advanced features of DQMAN for system integration and large-scale environments.
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Middleware Operations:
    • Understanding of AI tools and frameworks and how they can be leveraged to enhance middleware performance, automation, and predictive analysis.
  • Strong Data Analysis Skills:
    • Hands-on experience with data analysis methods, including trend analysis, root cause analysis, and data visualization techniques.
    • Ability to work with large and complex datasets and translate business problems into effective technical solutions.
    • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and building operational reports or dashboards.
  • Azure Cloud Platform Proficiency:
    • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, particularly as they relate to middleware environments and data management.
    • Familiarity with Azure AD for integrating Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions.
  • Version Control and Collaboration with GitHub:
  • Experience with GitHub for version control, collaboration, and CI/CD pipeline integrations.
  • Ability to manage and version middleware scripts and configurations efficiently and securely.
  • Implementation and Management of Single Sign-On (SSO):
    • Experience deploying, integrating, and maintaining Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions across middleware platforms to enable secure and seamless user authentication.
    • Familiarity with authentication protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect.
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Middleware Applications:
  • Proven ability in installation, configuration, patching, tuning, and troubleshooting Oracle middleware environments.
  • Understanding of middleware systems architecture and their integration with databases and other IT infrastructure.
  • Ability to maintain system and process documentation for operational and compliance needs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
