Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Android Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance Android applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building consumer-facing mobile applications using modern Android technologies, with expertise in Jetpack Compose, Kotlin, and location-based services. This role requires strong technical leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Required Skills

10+ years of hands-on experience in Android application development.
Proven experience developing and publishing Android applications on the Google Play Store.
Strong expertise in Jetpack Compose and Compose UI.
Hands-on experience with Google Maps, HERE Maps, or Mapbox.
Proficiency in Kotlin, Java, Android Studio, and Gradle.
Strong understanding of MVVM, MVC, and VIPER architecture patterns.
Solid knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and SOLID design principles.
Experience integrating RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
Good understanding of Material Design guidelines.
Experience with Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications.
Ensure application performance, scalability, quality, and responsiveness.
Troubleshoot production issues, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions.
Maintain clean, reusable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
Collaborate with product owners, designers, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality features.
Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design sessions.
Contribute innovative ideas to improve application performance, user experience, and development processes.
Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices across the team.

Education

Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
