Job Description: OutSystems Architect
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated OutSystems Architect to join our team and lead the design and implementation of
high-quality, scalable, and efficient applications using the OutSystems low-code platform. As an OutSystems Architect, you will
be responsible for guiding the technical direction, ensuring the architecture is aligned with business goals, and providing
leadership in the development of enterprise-grade solutions. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, including product
managers, developers, and business leaders, to deliver innovative solutions that meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Design and lead the implementation of complex solutions using OutSystems, ensuring adherence
to best practices, scalability, and performance standards.
Solution Architecture: Define the technical architecture and strategy for enterprise-level applications, ensuring that
OutSystems is leveraged effectively within the organization's broader technology ecosystem.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, business analysts, and other team members to
translate business requirements into technical specifications and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
Best Practices & Standards: Establish and enforce coding standards, guidelines, and best practices for the OutSystems
platform, including security, performance, and maintainability.
Integration: Oversee the integration of OutSystems applications with third-party systems, databases, and external APIs,
ensuring smooth data flows and seamless user experiences.
Mentorship: Provide technical mentorship and guidance to developers, promoting continuous learning and growth in
OutSystems development and best practices.
Quality Assurance: Lead the process of ensuring high-quality deliverables through code reviews, testing strategies, and
the implementation of robust error-handling practices.
Innovation: Keep up with the latest developments in OutSystems technology and the low-code space, identifying
opportunities to introduce new features, tools, and efficiencies.
Performance Optimization: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance, ensuring that applications run
efficiently under varying loads and usage patterns.
Documentation: Produce and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, integration
flows, and design decisions.
Key Requirements:
Experience:
o Minimum of 8+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years of experience as an
OutSystems Architect or in a similar leadership role.
o Proven track record in designing and delivering large-scale, enterprise-grade applications using the
OutSystems low-code platform.
o Experience in integrating OutSystems with other systems and platforms (e.g., RESTful APIs, web services,
databases).
Technical Skills:
o Strong knowledge of the OutSystems platform, including development, deployment, and maintenance of
applications.
o Proficient in integrating OutSystems with third-party services and databases.o Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL).
o Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and Agile methodologies.
o Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Leadership & Communication:
o Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
o Strong leadership, collaboration, and mentoring skills, with experience guiding teams of developers.
o Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications:
o Must have OutSystems Associate Reactive Developer & OutSystems Architecture Specialist.
o Additional OutSystems certification would be an advantage.
o Additional certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., cloud, DevOps) would be an advantage.
Desired Skills:
Experience with other low-code platforms and/or custom software development in Java, .NET, or other enterprise
technologies.
Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
