Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Developer to design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP RAP (Restful ABAP Programming Model). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in RAP (managed and unmanaged scenarios), CDS Views, OData V4 services, Fiori Elements, UI5, and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI).

This role requires deep understanding of clean core principles, S/4HANA integrations, and scalable cloud-ready architecture within the SAP BTP ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy applications using SAP BTP environment and SAP RAP.

• Implement RAP behavior definitions, service definitions, service bindings, draft handling, and transactional processing.

• Build end-to-end OData V4 services using RAP and integrate with Fiori Elements and SAP UI5 applications.

• Develop reusable CDS views, annotations, metadata extensions, and extensibility frameworks.

• Integrate SAP BTP applications with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, SAP CPI, Event Mesh, Destination Service, and other BTP services.

• Ensure compliance with SAP clean core and cloud-ready development standards.

• Optimize performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and support production deployments.

• Collaborate with architects, functional consultants, and DevOps teams to design secure and scalable solutions.

• Prepare technical design documents, architecture specifications, and support knowledge transfer activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8–10 years of SAP ABAP development experience.

• Strong expertise in SAP RAP (Managed & Unmanaged scenarios).

• Hands-on experience with:

  • CDS Views, Annotations, Metadata Extensions

  • Behavior Definitions and Implementations

  • Draft-enabled applications

  • OData V4 services

  • Fiori Elements & SAP UI5

• Experience integrating SAP BTP applications with:

  • SAP S/4HANA

  • SAP ECC

  • SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI)

  • Event Mesh

  • Destination Service

  • API Management

  • IAS/IPS

• Strong understanding of cloud-native development principles and multi-tenant applications.

• Experience deploying applications on SAP BTP.

• Experience with Git-enabled Change and Transport System (gCTS) or ABAP Git.

• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills.
