Role: Senior Python Developer (Need Locals)
Duration: 6-12 Months
Location: Mclean, VA (onsite 5 days a week)
Design, architect, and build highly scalable microservices and backend platforms using Python.
Lead architecture decisions for distributed systems, including service boundaries, API design, data flow, fault tolerance, and scalability patterns.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven services with strong focus on reliability, performance, and security.
Drive best practices for clean code, testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and automated quality gates.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate product and business requirements into technical architecture and implementation plans.
Optimize system performance through profiling, caching, asynchronous processing, and database/query tuning.
Implement observability standards including logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and production readiness reviews.
Guide containerization and deployment strategies using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes in cloud environments.
Mentor engineers, contribute to technical roadmaps, and promote engineering excellence across the team.
Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive long-term corrective actions.
