Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Technical Lead with strong hands-on expertise in Java, AWS, Apache Kafka, and Apache Flink to lead the design and development of scalable, cloud-native applications and real-time data streaming solutions.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in building distributed systems, event-driven microservices, and high-throughput streaming applications. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership, driving architecture and design decisions, mentoring developers, and ensuring the successful delivery of enterprise-level applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, development, and implementation of enterprise Java applications.

• Develop scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.

• Design and implement real-time event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.

• Build and maintain real-time data streaming pipelines using Apache Flink.

• Design and deploy cloud-native applications using AWS services.

• Implement Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, and consumer groups.

• Develop Flink applications involving stateful stream processing, event-time processing, windowing, checkpoints, and fault tolerance.

• Build highly scalable, distributed, and low-latency applications.

• Collaborate with architects, product managers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders.

• Perform code reviews, establish development standards, and ensure code quality.

• Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize application scalability and reliability.

• Mentor and guide engineering teams while remaining actively involved in hands-on development.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development, primarily using Java.

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17 or later.

• Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Microservices.

• Strong experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.

• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Flink for real-time stream processing.

• Experience designing and developing distributed systems and high-throughput applications.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, multithreading, concurrency, and design patterns.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.

Experience with AWS services such as:

• Amazon EC2

• Amazon EKS / ECS

• AWS Lambda

• Amazon S3

• Amazon MSK

• Amazon Kinesis

• AWS CloudWatch

• AWS IAM

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka Streams and real-time data processing frameworks.

• Knowledge of Apache Flink state management, checkpoints, savepoints, and fault tolerance.

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with Redis, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or MongoDB.

• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.

• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Technical Leadership Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and guidance to development teams.

• Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.

• Define coding standards and development best practices.

• Review code and ensure adherence to engineering standards.

• Mentor developers and support technical problem-solving.

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.
