Software Engineer in Test

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, Ready API, and Rest Assured.


• Design and execute test plans, test cases, and testing timelines for project deliverables.


• Implement and integrate automated testing into build pipelines and quality gates within a CI/CD environment.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, analysts, developers, vendors, and business subject matter experts, to address technical issues and improve test coverage.


• Analyze requirements and business needs to identify potential issues prior to test execution.


• Produce fully automated tests within each sprint to ensure thorough validation of products.


• Perform requirement analysis, defect tracking, test reporting, and test signoff.


• Conduct root cause analysis on defects and address complex technical problems.


• Promote quality engineering practices and contribute to continuous process improvement.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in creating test automation frameworks utilizing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, Ready API, and Rest Assured.


• Proven programming experience with Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Spring, Web Services, Angular, and SQL.


• Experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines and establishing quality gates.


• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.


• Ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced environment.


• Excellent communication skills that foster collaboration.


• Experience with requirement analysis, defect tracking, test reporting, and coordinating with dispersed teams.


• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.


• Ability to perform root cause analysis on defects.


• Demonstrated high level of dedication, initiative, and passion for quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in the financial services industry.


• Familiarity with highly configurable SaaS products.


• Ability to adapt to new environments and learn in-house developed tools and practices.


• Experience conducting integration testing between multiple independent systems using interfaces such as flat files and APIs.


• Relational database experience.


• Knowledge of project management tools like Jira and Xray.


• AWS cloud experience is a plus.
