Business Analyst: Pricing Engine Development
This individual will work with a US-based client and may also need to coordinate with the Singapore office.
Although this role will occasionally collaborate with a Senior Consultant, it requires a high degree of independence. The individual must be able to document requirements, understand key processes, and communicate essential details without the involvement of the Senior Consultant.
This role will:
· Document requirements to build a new pricing engine for an international business.
· Focus specifically on pricing logic; upload and download of master data to the new engine; maintainability of the pricing rules in the engine (batch updates, etc).
· Participate in detailed discussions on understanding the client’s existing pricing logic and how it must change when building the new pricing engine (likely a custom app).
· Support the Senior Consultant in preparing an RFQ for CPQ package selection, based on the pricing requirements gathered for the new pricing engine. The Senior Consultant will create the RFP but will need input from the BA on critical pricing requirements to be included.
· Engage closely with business and technical teams.
· Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, ask targeted business questions, and document critical requirements.
· This role is expected to last three months.
Successful completion of this phase may lead to a BA role during project implementation.
Required Skills
· Pricing implementation knowledge with any ERPs or custom apps (excel, or home built) is essential; experience working with SAP pricing is a plus, but not required.
· Experience gathering, documenting, and validating business requirements.
· Ability to work with business and technical teams to assess system integration needs.
· Familiarity with pricing logic, custom applications, Excel-based processes, and API-based integrations.
