Summary

Title: Automation Engineer
Location: Allen Park, MI
Type: Fulltime (Direct Hire) OR Long Term Contract

Job Description:

  • Bachelor degree in electrical/electronic engineering and/or related field and Five (5) or more years of work experience in Test Framework development
  • Strong Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, VBA, m-scripting
  • Experience in Creating Python API for DOIP / CAN
  • Experience in Windows automation using Python
  • Experience in Creating / Accessing JIRA API as well as GIT API
  • Experience working with Github, JIRA, Github Action, Jenkins, CI/CD, Pipelines
  • Nice to have Experience in ControlDesk / Motion Desk / Model Desk / NI / Vector CANoe / Vector CANalyzer
  • Solid understanding of software configuration management systems and source code version control systems
  • Familiarity with test processes and test strategies including the generation of meaningful test metrics
  • Strong communication skills to gather requirements from the development teams and to train the teams in the workflow and processes
  • Familiarity with making changes in the test automation framework

Roles & Responsibilities :

  • In this role you will support and improve our tools for continuous integration, automated testing, automation and release management.
  • Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination
  • Define and implement appropriate automation of operational activities
  • Improve the replicability of build and test runs using central OS configuration management, virtualization and containerization
  • Contribute to building a strong team of Build Infrastructure Engineers
  • Understand and suggest improvements to the existing build systems
  • Unify our development pipeline, build process, testing and deployment strategies across diverse teams
  • Work closely with application developers and participating in the architectural discussions
  • Advocate a DevOps culture of automation, self-service, and engineering best practices to enable development teams

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering
