Summary

Razor is looking for a Cybersecurity Architect to support the Defense Client Data Center (DMDC) Cyber PRIMES program by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure enterprise cybersecurity architectures that protect mission-critical Department of Defense information systems. The role focuses on cybersecurity architecture, risk management, compliance, security engineering, and strategic planning while supporting large-scale IT environments consisting of thousands of network and endpoint devices and hundreds of enterprise applications.

Education & Certification Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Relevant DoD 8140 certifications and industry certifications are preferred and may be required based on program requirements.

Clearance Requirements: Active DoD Secret clearance required. Some positions may require Top Secret/SCI clearance. U.S. Citizenship required.

Location: Seaside, CA or Alexandria, VA (Mark Center). Flexible for occasional telework; candidates must reside locally.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop secure enterprise cybersecurity architectures supporting Department of Defense information systems
  • Define cybersecurity architecture standards, security controls, and technical requirements for enterprise environments
  • Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities, including system categorization, security control implementation, assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring
  • Develop security architecture solutions aligned with NIST, DoD, and Defense Health Agency (DHRA) cybersecurity policies and standards
  • Evaluate existing security architectures and recommend improvements to reduce enterprise cyber risk
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, system administrators, software developers, and infrastructure teams to integrate security throughout the system lifecycle
  • Support cybersecurity planning, architecture reviews, and security engineering initiatives for enterprise applications and infrastructure
  • Analyze cybersecurity tool outputs to identify vulnerabilities, security gaps, and opportunities for risk reduction
  • Develop enterprise-wide and system-specific risk mitigation recommendations
  • Support cybersecurity audits, compliance assessments, and validation of security requirements
  • Produce architecture diagrams, technical documentation, security design packages, and implementation guidance
  • Support DevSecOps and secure software development initiatives where applicable

Qualifications:
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise cybersecurity architectures
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal cybersecurity programs
  • Strong knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and cybersecurity compliance requirements
  • Experience with enterprise security technologies, security engineering principles, and secure systems design
  • Experience performing cybersecurity risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies
  • Knowledge of security monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response, and enterprise security operations
  • Experience supporting security authorization activities using eMASS or similar governance tools
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking, operating systems, cloud technologies, identity management, and cybersecurity best practices
  • Ability to analyze complex technical environments and communicate recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • CISSP, CASP+, Security+, CCSP, or other DoD 8140-compliant certifications
  • Experience supporting large-scale Department of Defense enterprise environments
  • Experience with DevSecOps, cloud security, Zero Trust Architecture, or secure software development
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity monitoring, SIEM platforms, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and threat analysis
  • Experience supporting environments utilizing eMASS, ACAS, HBSS, Microsoft Defender, or other DoD cybersecurity tools
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity architecture frameworks such as SABSA, TOGAF, or DoDAF
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity modernization initiatives across enterprise IT environments
