Your Responsibilities

As an Order Fulfilment Process Weld Manufacturing Engineerfor JD Des Moines Works located in Ankeny, IA, you will:

• Plans, coordinates, and performs manufacturing engineering work for a project or process
• Operates in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process
• At this level, projects are of limited scope and responsibility work plans and decisions are made within established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors and/or managers
• May assign coordinate and review portions of the work for support personnel and contractors

What Skills You Need

• Basic knowledge of manufacturing/materials processes and process improvement
• Ability to analyze technical information and support process design and feasibility testing
• Understanding engineering standards, specifications, and quality inspections
• Ability to identify issues and recommend corrective actions under guidance
• Experience coordinating with suppliers/subcontractors and supporting contract activities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to travel up to 25% and support off- shift schedules based on business needs

What Makes You Standout

• Familiarity with welding processes
• Knowledge of basic robot programing
• Ability to identify process gaps and support improvements using change management practices
• Familiarity with knowledge management systems and ability to support team adoption
• Exposure to product development and engineering activities, including analyzing customer needs
• Experience working within project management plans to support delivery of goals

Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

• Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent related work experience
