Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Staff Accountant, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Preparing comprehensive financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to aid strategic decision-making.
• Ensuring compliance with all tax planning and regulations.
• Managing cash flow and preparing financial reports on a regular basis.
• Reconciling general ledger (GL) and bank statements.
• Utilizing advanced Excel skills for v-look ups, pivot tables, and other financial analyses.
• Working extensively with the general ledger and QuickBooks Online ERP.
• Allocating insurance and tracking notice to owner (NTO).
• Assisting with employee onboarding and providing benefits support.
• Utilizing your commercial construction experience to improve financial processes and strategies.
• Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online ERP.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including v-look ups and pivot tables.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and tax planning.
• Proven experience in reconciling GL and bank statements.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
