Salesforce Solution Expert / Architect

Overview

NCDHHS ITD is seeking an experienced Salesforce Solution Expert/Architect to lead the prestigious Early Education Integration System project. This role will design and deliver secure, scalable, and userfocused Salesforce and integration solutions that align with the organization s digital strategy. Acting as both a strategic leader and handson technical expert, you will shape the future of the Salesforce ecosystem, define complex integrations, and drive continuous innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect endtoend Salesforce solutions and guide technical strategy/execution.

• Collaborate with SMEs, technical leads, and business stakeholders to translate scope into costeffective architecture.

• Design and lead implementation of complex APIbased integrations with external systems.

• Ensure solutions meet data security, performance, and compliance standards.

• Define backup and restore strategies; identify and mitigate technical risks.

• Apply best practices to balance standard Salesforce functionality vs. customizations.

• Produce highquality technical documentation, data models, and solution diagrams.

• Lead code reviews, design workshops, and release planning sessions.

• Partner with Agile teams in backlog refinement, user story decomposition, and acceptance criteria definition.

• Assist in Salesforce environment setup and CI/CD pipeline processes using release management tools.

• Collaborate crossfunctionally to ensure smooth project integration and delivery.

• Salesforce Technical Architect/Application Architect certification

• Salesforce Integration Architect certification

• Salesforce Platform Developer II certification

• Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder certification

• Copado certification

• MuleSoft I & II certifications

Experience Requirements

• 7+ years in Salesforce solution architecture and development

• 7+ years with Apex, LWC, Aura, Flows, SOSL, SOQL, Salesforce Admin, advanced patterns, and testing best practices

• 7+ years guiding development teams on platform technology

• 7+ years with objectoriented design (Apex, Java, JavaScript, C#, Ruby)

• 7+ years in data migration strategies and ETL tools

• 7+ years in mobile solutions architecture (onplatform considerations)

• 7+ years using Salesforce Shield and Lightning

• 5+ years with Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD pipelines

• 5+ years ensuring accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1)

• 5+ years with GitHub/BitBucket version control
